This is the Accessibility Statement for the United Co-operatives.

United Co-operatives is committed to ensuring its websites are accessible to all its customers, members and staff. All of the web sites are undergoing review and redesign as necessary to ensure that they meet and exceed any guidelines on web accessibility.

Every web page on this site should conform to Level-A of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and it is our intention on an on-going basis to achieve Level-AA throughout the entire site. Every effort has been made to make the pages on this site validate as XHTML 4.01 Transitional however many of the standards are only guidelines and we would welcome any comments you may have on accessibility issues.

We recommend using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1 or higher to provide you with the highest level of browser accessibility. The Microsoft Active Accessibility (MSAA) software is included with a "full" install of IE 5.0 and higher.
If you are blind or visually impaired we recommend JAWS for Windows version 3.31 or later for the best speech synthesis.

In accordance with the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SENDA) Act 2001, we aim to ensure that all United Co-operatives webpages conform to the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

All links have a 'title' element.
There are no "javascript:" pseudo-links. All links can be followed in any browser, even if scripting is turned off.
